On this week's podcast, we talk to Danish filmmakers Frederik Kyhn and Matias Tolstrup about their project "Out In The North: Finding the Nordic Sound." The project isn't complete yet, but the footage they've already released from the Faroes is pretty great. We'll link to all four videos here and we strongly urge you to heed the advice at the start of each video and put on some headphones. The sound and the video will really transport you to the Faroes. Kyhn and Tolstrup spent much of July filming Faroese musicians and talking to them about the creative process and how their homes are a part of that.
After that high-minded chat, we head out to some windmills and try not to get peed on by a stranger.
